Black Hat USA 2026: Cybersecurity Vendors Showcase Latest Innovations to Tackle Evolving Threats

The cybersecurity industry’s biggest players are converging on Las Vegas this week for Black Hat USA 2026, a premier conference where vendors unveil their latest products and services. In our ongoing coverage of the event, we’re highlighting key announcements from top vendors that aim to address the increasingly sophisticated threats facing organizations worldwide.

One notable development comes from Astelia, which has introduced agentic AI capabilities to its exposure management platform. This innovative feature automates vulnerability analysis and remediation workflows across the entire lifecycle, evaluating newly disclosed vulnerabilities and their reachability, assessing operational impact, and coordinating remediation efforts between security and IT teams. While human oversight remains crucial at key decision points, this new layer of automation promises to streamline vulnerability management processes.

AvePoint has also made significant strides in data protection, introducing Kinetic Classification to its Confidence Platform. This capability continuously re-evaluates data sensitivity across Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and other business applications, replacing static labeling with a dynamic approach that reflects changing data landscapes. AvePoint has further enhanced its Rapid Recovery system with new tools, including a wizard for prioritizing restoration of critical data after an incident.

The threat landscape is becoming increasingly complex, with AI playing an increasingly prominent role in modern adversary operations. CrowdStrike’s 2026 Threat Hunting Report highlights the widespread adoption of AI by threat actors to accelerate attacks, exploit vulnerabilities rapidly, and target enterprise AI systems and software supply chains. The report underscores the need for organizations to secure their AI environments while leveraging AI to defend against increasingly automated threats.

Cisco Talos research has shed light on how threat actors are using AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) in real-world cyberattacks. The study documents how AI is being used to develop malicious code, build fraud infrastructure, and accelerate vulnerability research and exploitation. Notably, the research found that sophisticated threat groups are leveraging AI as a development assistant to rapidly build exploits, while adversaries use AI across various steps of the attack lifecycle.

Drata has extended its Trust Management Platform with AI Agent Governance, designed to help enterprises discover, monitor, govern, and prove traceability of AI agents running inside their organizations. The product is initially available for Anthropic, with early access customers already deploying it in production.

Horizon3.ai has announced NodeZero WebApp Pentesting, an expansion that enables its autonomous platform to safely test web applications the way attackers operate. This innovation proves what’s exploitable, quantifies business consequences of each attack path, and maps those paths to tactics used by known threat actors.

In a separate development, Huntress has made its RMM Guard available for free to all customers with an agent deployed, as part of its broader Managed ESPM effort. This release is focused on detecting and blocking rogue remote monitoring and management tools that attackers increasingly abuse to gain and maintain access. By identifying and blocking unauthorized RMM software, Huntress aims to provide extra protection for isolated machines.
