Osavul Lands $10 Million to Spot Hostile Intent Across Cyber, Physical Domains

Hybrid threat intelligence company Osavul has landed a significant $10 million funding boost to enhance its cutting-edge AI platform for spotting hostile intent across the cyber, physical, and information domains. The Luxembourg-based firm’s Series A round was led by 33N Ventures, with Balnord, G+D Ventures, and 42CAP also participating in the investment.

Osavul’s AI-driven platform is designed to analyze both open and privileged data to identify potential threats before they materialize into attacks. By doing so, it helps organizations map hostile intent against their people, facilities, and supply chains, providing crucial context on who is targeting them. The company claims its assessments are thoroughly evidence-traced and reviewed by analysts to ensure accuracy.

The platform’s unique value proposition lies in its ability to operate within sovereign infrastructure, ensuring sensitive data remains within customer systems at all times. This approach has resonated with government, defense, and security institutions across over 10 countries, with Osavul serving as one of the key players delivering NATO’s Information Environment Assessment Capability.

Osavul was initially developed in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, highlighting the urgent need for effective hybrid threat intelligence solutions. The company now faces an increasingly complex landscape, marked by intensifying hybrid activity from adversarial states and their proxies. According to Osavul, more than 150 state-linked incidents have been recorded across Europe since 2022.

Hybrid attacks are no longer limited to governments; companies operating in critical infrastructure sectors such as energy, transportation, finance, and defense are also being targeted by sophisticated adversaries. As Dmytro Plieshakov, Osavul’s co-founder and CEO, noted, “Hybrid attacks are no longer a government problem alone… The companies running our daily lives now face the same adversaries, usually without the means to see them coming.”

The $10 million funding will enable Osavul to further enhance its AI capabilities, expand into enterprise and critical infrastructure sectors, and deepen its work with governments and defense institutions. With this significant investment, Osavul is poised to play an increasingly crucial role in protecting organizations from evolving hybrid threats.

For those concerned about the growing threat of hybrid attacks, it’s essential to recognize that these threats are not limited to large-scale cyberattacks alone. Instead, they involve a combination of tactics such as sabotage, espionage, and information manipulation. As Osavul continues to push the boundaries of hybrid threat intelligence, organizations must remain vigilant in their efforts to anticipate and mitigate potential risks.

By understanding the complexities of hybrid threats and investing in cutting-edge solutions like Osavul’s AI platform, businesses can better prepare themselves for the evolving security landscape.
